The collection at Cecil Manor is constantly undergoing assessment to ensure that is is meeting the needs of the learners, school, and community. Some factors we take into account are:

How do you assess the collection?
The library media specialist is able to run reports through the circulation software (Destiny Follett) monthly. This supplies the specialist with vital information and feedback on the state of the collection throughout the school year and over the summer holidays. With this information, decisions can be made on what books need to be repaired, replaced, or removed from the collection.
We also ask our students, staff, and community for input on the collection. Suggestions for acquisitions are extremely welcome and needed to insure that the collection continues to meet the needs of the school and the community.
