Is it enough? The argument can always be made for a highly allocation of funds, but in our school's case, the library media budget has not been raised in recent years. With costs on the rise for new technology, new titles, and maintenance in a middle-aged facility, our budget is wearing too thin, too quickly. For that reason, our library media staff has been working hard to present the board with proposals on new budget allotments, writing grants, and utilizing extras like Scholastic Book Fairs to help elongate the budget at Cecil Manor. The PTO also continues to work with us to help bring our collection up to date and keep the library media center at the forefront of innovation and education.
